Since its re-launch under HMD Global, Nokia, the Finnish technology giant has made noticeable leaps in the global smartphone market within a short period. It has already launched Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6, and Nokia 8, which is also its flagship smartphone and quite popular among people. The company has seen profits more than it has actually estimated in the months of July to September, which is a testament to its increasing popularity. Now, the tech giant is rumored to launch a new smartphone, which might be named as the Nokia 2.
It’s expected that the Nokia 2 would be the cheapest Nokia Android smartphone to be launched exclusively for the Indian market. However, Nokia hasn’t revealed any details regarding the launch and details of the details. But it has sent invites for an event that’s scheduled on October 31st in Delhi-NCR at 11:30 am. The phone has been rumored for a while now and it has already popped up in the Bluetooth SIG database and even has been listed for pre-orders on the B&H website.
Nokia 2 specifications (rumored)
Since its the cheapest Android smartphone of Nokia, the Nokia 2 is expected to have a modest set of hardware. There are rumors that believe that the phone is going to be powered by a Snapdragon 212 chipset. Nokia 2 specification leaks also point to the phone having 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage with support for microSD cards. All these specifications are entry-level specs that will help make the smartphone accessible to a wider audience.
Despite it being an entry-level smartphone, the Nokia 2 is expected to run the new Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. It’s also rumored that the phone will flaunt an HD display with a pixel density of 720x1280p. As far as the camera is concerned the smartphone is likely to be bundled with an 8-megapixel shooter on the rear along with a 5-megapixel shooter at the front for the selfies. Past rumors of the phone also suggest that the Nokia 2 will pack a 4000mAh battery, which will provide it enough juice to run completely for a day and even more.

As we said previously the smartphone giant is going to have an event in New Delhi tomorrow (31st October), in which its rumored that Nokia might launch the Nokia 2 for the people in India. However, there’s no official confirmation on what the event will have since Nokia hasn’t yet revealed any details about the same. The device has already been launched in China and it’s a mid-range phone, which is believed to be the toned down version of the Nokia 8. Nokia 7 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 630 Processor with an option to choose from 4GB RAM or 6GB RAM variants. Both the variants come with a 64GB internal storage capacity. It’s expected that Nokia might launch only one variant of the smartphone in India.
The Nokia 7 sports many features that can make it a flagship product of Nokia as well. It sports a 5.2-inch FullHD screen, which is paired with a 3D curved glass on the back of the device. This design provides the smartphone with a premium feel and design when compared to other smartphones present in the mid-range segment. Additionally, Nokia claims that the smartphone is much durable than other smartphones because of the use of Aluminum 7000 series metal in its body.
Nokia 7 comes with Carl Zeiss optics for its cameras that make them very good. The primary camera module of the device comes with a 16-megapixel shooter having a f/1.8 aperture, which enables the camera to click good pictures even in low-lighting conditions. Furthermore, the device also supports the Bothie feature that was introduced with the Nokia 8. You can find the same dual-sight technology in the Nokia 7. The Nokia 7 price in India is expected to be somewhere around Rs. 25,000 – Rs. 27,000, which is quite a good price when compared with the specifications.
